SacredBeats (formerly HumenNature)

Some may know him as Todd, some may know him as the fire spinner “Oaken”. He likes to follows what feels natural. Wether sharing the knowledge and passion of “flow” or playing some down low juicy bass-beats, He is doing what is organic in all of us, what comes natural. On the other side of his passion, instead of being moved by the music while performing. He has reverted back to his first love of music by the name SacredBeats. Now is excelling at making his mark as a DJ doing sold out events such as “Getting low and letting go” A Conscious Bass Yoga experience collaboration with Graham Parsons, a local master Yogi. As well as his Duo SacredBeats & Bones Benthik playing events with Zodiac Series, Jungle Fever, Heart on Collective, SpinOut prop festival, and other growing events.

Chill Space

Spin Out has tons of workshops, activities and events happening throughout the weekend but sometimes you just want to sit down and relax. Not to worry! We’ll have a dedicated chill space so if you’d like to relax with some new friends you’ll have a comfy place to put your feet up and take your mind off of spinning things! This year’s chill space will have TONS of couches as well as a pool table, air hockey table and a fire place.

* We’ll be making this space our own by decorating it and filling the space with fun and pretty things. Feel free to bring extra blankets, pillows, games, stuffed animals, posters, lights, and anything else you’d like to contribute to decorating the chill space.

Cary of the ‘Calgary Circus Studio’

Cary Lam is the studio director for the Calgary Circus Studio where she also teaches aerial, poi and conditioning. Her passion for circus arts started when she was working and traveling around the world for about 4 years. She studied aerial arts and poi in Australia, London and Edinburgh. When she returned to Canada in 2009, she continued her pursuits and passion in circus arts.. Recently, she just learned how to juggle, play with diabolo and hula hoop. She currently teaches aerial classes in the evenings at Calgary Circus Studio.

Kylee Dawn is a creative spirit who has influenced many of those around her. Her dance workshops are known for taking others on a journey through self expression through the freedom of movement. Kylee is also a co-creator of Evolved Productions
a home-base for intentional events, quality event production, and supporting great talent and services within the community. Evolved Productions acts as an umbrella to Inner Journeys, Mystique Images, Ionic Sound, DJ Jay Michael, Bohemian Moon Sustainable Clothing, Inshala Festival, and many Evolved Events.

Joey ‘Ero’ of Orbital Flame

Joey ‘Ero’ has been a figurehead in the Alberta fire scene since 2006, beginning in Lethbridge, Alberta he aided in the organization of Lethbridge’s weekly fire jams as well at the U of L spinning club. Joey and his partner ‘Jamie’ work with other Alberta performers in their fire troupe Orbital Flame.

You may want to ask around and see if there are people interested in taking a workshop on this topic, let them know when and where as soon as you know you’ll be doing a renegade workshop!

Slacklining is a unique practice that redefines your sense of balance and mental focus. Involving a piece of climbing webbing stretched taught between two fixed points, this practice is by far some of the most fun you will have trying to balance and is a great way to train for activities such as climbing, surfing, flowing, snowboarding, skiing, biking and running. Great for yoga practitioners and athletes of all forms, the YogaSlackers share their unique practice of slackasana (yoga on a slackline) to help students to develop new techniques of complete body awareness and strength as well as concentration. And yes, anyone can learn to do it.
